Spanish Accents: Keyboard Shortcuts for PC and Mac

To access the Spanish accent mark and other punctuation marks you can use the Alt/Option keys on your computer operating system. Below are some of the most common ones.

For PC Users:

To type any of the accents, tildes, and special punctuation marks below, hold the ALT key and next type the number next to it. Release the ALT key when you are done, and the character will appear.

For Mac Users:

To create the symbols below, hold the OPT (option) key and the letter next to it in the chart below at the same time and then release them. Then, type the vowel you want to accent.
